Guest guest
I have been practicing Yoga for two years and have decided to take a challenge class in Ashtanga Yoga.My first class was extremely fast moving, covering many postures in a short time.Is this the norm for Ashtanga as I always thought Yoga should be slow movements.
Also, does anyone know any web sites with Ashtanga postures for practice.
Thanks
Guest guest
I haven't seen a website with the eintire series illustrated either.

I found the book "Yoga Mala" really helpful in understanding the theory behind the Ashtanga practice, particularly the primary series. All the asanas are photographed and decribed in detail along with their benefits. Guest guest
Hi,

I use two books to help me in my home practise - Beryl Bender Birch's "Power Yoga" and Godfrey Devereux's "Dynamic Yoga". These books have good pictures and instructions, IMHO.

Althoug I haven't found a site with all the Ashtanga poses, you might want to check out the Links section in this club - in particular, I find "Slade's Ashtanga Yoga Links" to be useful.

Good luck with your practise!
