Guest guest
I've had lots of feelings of extreme joy, complete with tingles up and down the spine. Once during a guided meditation at Yoga Works a very strong realization of the heart chakra and more bliss!

Others please share, this is a great question! Guest guest
Aha, it's good to know that there are others out there to talk to about this. I've only been doing Ashtanga for 4 months but recently I've had some experiences that are difficult to describe. I'll try.
-There may be a focusing awareness.
-A centering coming together.
-A focal expansion of stillnes.
-The most attention grabbing was like a pouring, encompassing flow.
That's about the best I can do to describe what happened to me. Any clues or thoughts
Guest guest
Maybe its best to take the experiance as the clue, and go beyond thought!

If what the yogis say is true, and the goal is found via stilling of the mind (good luck in my case!) it sounds like you may have had a taste of if. Anyway i belive that the series can cause certain energy flows and they in turn cause these sensations. Begginers report these often. Maybe because 1) They have more blockages, 2) Their minds are more open, there are no expectations of any experiance. I had strange feelings too, at first, that i described as overwhelming peace. I think they are go with the territory. Now they don't come as often, but i don't feel any loss for it. I think its just a step on the path.

I'm no guru or expert, these are just some thoughts to stimulate discusion and personal reflection on the meaning of it all.
