Guest guest
At our studio, we use 2mm sticky mats cut to 6ft. Cost $25) We purchase ours in bulk from Tools for Yoga in NJ - we have a lot of traffic- mostly Astanga style so we find these hold up well during practice and don't get too spongy or slippery. They also hold up better for washing.
The latest thing at the studio has been the introduction of Mysore style practice rugs ($45). Placing this cotton mat on top gives you extra traction, absorbtion and a little more buffer from the floor. There is a picture of one of these on our store's site - www.studioyoga.com
Hope this helps.
