Guest guest
The animation on www.ashtanga1.com does not show some variation of Surya Namaskara A, but is Dandasana done with what is usually called "full vinyasa" (i.e. each asana starting and ending in samasthiti).

(Of course since dandasana is normally not done as a seperate asana, but as the 7th vinyasa of pachimattanasana, for that reason you can say that the sequence is not standard.)

If you want to see the complete primary series done with "full vinyasa" take a look at Lino Miele's new video. You can also consult his book for details on the vinyasa counting system.
Guest guest
The one on the left is Full Vinyasa Dandasana indeed, but the one on the right is something altogether different!A very funky lolasana to samastitihi transition.Just a mistakenly added frame to the animation I suspect.

Do I have to learn the vinyasa counting system or can I just keep practicing the darn thing until I can't count any more?
