Guest guest
The Yoga Journal also has an artical on the Americanization of yoga which relates how, in a lot of cases, the spiritual aspect of yoga is not being achieved. It appears to be wrapped up with the fitness movement that is currently afoot. I would guess that Senor is a traditionalist that is having trouble with this Americanization. Admittedly, Americans have a knack for taking something and putting their own spin on it. I believe Beryl and those like her are a part of this process. Maybe they don't bring the whole package to the table, but do provide a springboard for the introduction of concepts which will lead some to achieve the spiritual aspect of yoga.
