Guest guest Posted February 3, 2000 Report Share Posted February 3, 2000 I'd suggest that if you have a good grasp of 1st series and have studied with a good astanga teacher, you could form an astanga club in your town and start giving away what you have learned. I've found that practing with others is a tremendous motivator.<br><br>In a perfect situation (one which I currently enjoy) we can practice every day under the guidance of a teacher personally certified by PK Jois. <br><br>But if we all had to wait for a certified astanga teacher to come to our towns and establish a shala, most of us would be waiting a long, long time before learning anything about this wonderfully transformative practice of yoga.<br><br>So, I believe we have to do the best we can with what we have. <br><br>(Come to think of it, that's a roundabout definition of yoga right there!)
