Guest guest
Hello,
I am a newcomer to the "club". There are a huge number of As(h)tanga teachers in the Bay Area, but who is really wonderful? My criteria reside not in a stringent following or dogmatic application of Jois' teachings to the letter, but more in spirit of teaching and a lack of huge ego.
I've taken class with Leigha Nicole, who's certified by him, and I think she's great, and I like Debbie Ramelli a lot. And Tim Thompson, for a vinyasa-type "workout", can be fun, if a little hard core.
I'm just looking to expand my knowledge by trying some different classes, and would like recommendations. I'm also looking for someone who focuses on some of the non-physical aspects of practice as well as asana.

I am just starting to study second series, so am especially interested in people whose classes incorporate at least a modified version of those postures.

Also, when Rolf and Kirsten were here last summer, they said that there was talk of Jois coming to the U.S. this year or next. Has anyone heard anything about that?

Thanks for your (anticipated) responses.
