Guest guest
I find what Iyengar has to say about massage to be accurate from "Tree of Yoga." That it stiffens the body and is not condusive to yoga practice. However there is some bodywork out there that is beneficial like acupuncture, for freeing up some blocked energy and opening up your nadis. and pilates to tone your body and strengthen those bandhas. Also colonics do wonders as well.
AM food totally depends on the person and their doshic type.
Guest guest
I do bodywork for a living and I incorporate a lot of Joint mobilization into my work. There are a couple of different types of YOGA Massage, I have had Thai yoga massage many times. The therapists
do releasing techniques while you are in different poses. It's really wonderful and has helped me great deal in releasing my hips. Check out www.amta.com for a yoga massage therapist in your area.
