Guest guest
Moi, I wonder if anyone knows how those fullmoon and newmoon days are defined?

If I look calendar where is exact moment of either full- or newmoon. For time to time I have problem to know when I shoud not practise.

Example: I do morning practise. Fullmoon is 11 pm. Do I skip my practise before or after that moment?

In India there is 15 moondays from newmoon to fullmoon and 15 moondays from fullmoon to newmoon. This moondays all called tithis and the that 15th tithi is either newmoon tithi or fullmoon tithi. So Indians consider that fullmoon or newmoon is that last 1/15 part of the period. In practise this means that last about 24 hours before exact newmoon moment is the time of newmoon. Fullmoon comes same way.

And last ... So what. Most likely I am too enthusiatic to not to practise (-:
Some times it's just nice to think this academic questions.

Tero

It fascinates me - is there something about the practice itself, or is it the type of person who is attracted to Astanga?
