Guest guest
Start with suryanamaskar A & B, then see how you feel. If you feel OK add some standing poses and do finishing poses. Build it up day by day - dont push it, better to do too little than too much! You could contact Baxter Williams who teaches in Gainsville at eightlimb. Guest guest
Ami

See how it goes. Take it easy there's no prize at the end of the practice just the thought that tomorrow you start again, each day another beginning.

Like the other guy said, sunsalutes, check the feeling, standing pose, sheck the feeling.

The way I look at yoga is that it's for life which - I hope - gives me a lot of years of practice so there's no rush. The only thing to watch out for is the monkey mind that often doesn't like the discipline and won't settle into the practice, so if he's playing up I say okay one more and then we see, and often after the asana and vinyasa the monkey is back into it and I wasn't really too tired or urgently wanting to be somewhere else except for on the mat.

In your case check it's not the monkey that says too much and that it really is the body feeling that says okay enough for today. Before you know it you'll be back to where you were, but perhaps by going slowly you might also gain better insight into the effects of the asanas and maybe see something new in old familiarities.
