I, too am searching for Ashtanga. There are a few

people here. Check out www.yogacleveland.com (or

www.clevelandyoga.com) for a listing. Bhumi's in Westlake has a Tuesday

evening class; a woman leads a group Saturday evenings

and Tuesday mornings in Rocky River, and another

woman does evening and crack of dawn weekend classes in

Little Italy. If you can make it to Canton there are

also Tuesday and Thursday classes there. Please let me

know if you go and we can meet.

I actually attend both of those classes at

Bhumi's in Westlake and the woman who teaches in Little

Italy. I was trying to make sure that I hadn't

overlooked anyone. The tuesday class is pretty good. The

woman in little Italy has studied with Beryl Bender

Birch. I guess I'm still looking for that teacher that

just blows me away with their knowledge and ability.

However, as we all know, you are your best teacher.

Bhumi's has good workshops as well. Doug Swenson (brother

of David) did a workshop there a few weeks ago and

it was very good. Let me know if you go to any of

these. Who do you go to.

I find it very hard to make it to classes, but I

was at Doug Swensen's workshop at Bhumi's too. Are

you a regular attender at those places? If you have

the time you should check out the Yoga Place in

Canton. The ashtanga person is older and has been doing

this for a very, very long time. The one time I was

able to make it was when he was away but I do hope to

take a class with him soon. But let me know if I have

overlooked anyone!

Yes, I am a regular fixture at both of them and

actually enjoy both quite a bit. They woman in Cleveland

Heights, Rowan, is a really good teacher and offers quite

challanging classes. The woman at Bhumi's goes through the

entire primary series the first tuesday of each month. I

also attended Doug Swenson's workshop. Rumor has it

he'll be back next year.
