Guest guest
Ego vs. lotus. Been there, hurt that.
Things that helped me:
1. Take up to a month off from anything lotus-oriented after a sharp knee pain incident.
2. Yes, visualize opening up those psoas, the deep muscles that run from sacrum through hip. This has been incredibly beneficial to me.
3. Supplement of Glucosamine and MSM; KAL makes a good one. Most health food stores now seem to have a shelf labeled "Joint Support" in their vitamin/supplement sections, and there might be other things there that help, too. I found it took about two months for results to start.
4. LISTEN TO YOUR BODY AND DON'T FORCE LOTUS.
I haven't tried sesame oil, coconut oil, long baths, or giving up sugar (oh, dear), but they all sound sensible.
