It is true that left is the Shakti or female side

and right is the male side but don't get too trippy.

You probably just pushed yourself too hard or have an

inexperienced teacher that gave you too many postures too soon.

Back off a bit, do your practice consistently (i.e.

daily) and your knees should be fine. I have had the

same pain with virtually every joint. It will
