Guest guest
Yes, I’d also appreciate others’ experiences about addictions in the light of their practice. Attachement and aversion as obstacles for or as tools for gaining liberation; social patterns (group-structures that depend on larger masses of people being addicted to the same thing, drug, idea-system, objective of identification etc.) and the process of deconditioning oneself from pre-fabricated truth (karmic traces) through sadhana (daily practice).

A fairly thought-provoking book on many aspects of the problem is: "The Guru Papers - Masks of Authoritarian Power" (availlable at amazon.com) written by two practitioners of yoga.
