Guest guest
#Previously on the ashtanga classes listing of who were certified i thought i saw "certified" after Maty Ezraty's name - however it is not there anymore. Why? (Betty..?)

#To Senor P W
Refer Guy Donahaye's recent posting - these are sentiments you share; delivered in a manner that can carry one's real name.
(But don't change.)

#To Guy Donahaye
Thankyou for your authorative contributions. Regarding the Mysore style format....Way-back-when, word has it, yoga was taught basically one-on-one. It stand to reason that eventually if there were a tiny group needing yoga instruction that they would probably not be of the same level and would need to be individually instructed. That may be how Krishnamacharya Ji instructed his students and how Guruji was introduced to this method, eventually calling it Mysore style. What I'd like to ask you in this changed situation where yoga is popularised, causing (large) groups to gather who are of similar level - does this not indicate an appropriate"ness" for group instruction, seen in this changed climate that lends itself to group classes?

#To the food pundits
People are inspired by something other than didactic details....it IS useful to be reminded of what makes one stiff,- thanx for putting that out there. For those wanting to know what's wonderful for being limber...- think green (dark green leafy veg). Vibrantly alive foods bring that energy into one's energy field, and to each cell. Green juice. BE amazed.

#to Homer
But you so absolutely MUST visit Native Foods - the mushroom burger is a big hit. (don't TRY)(just do it)
Guest guest
You write of "(large) groups to gather who are of similar level". No two persons will ever be of similar level. Even if you could find two, they would not stay on similar level for very long. I think exactly the individual approach possibble in a Mysore class setting is invaluable in the teaching of astanga yoga.
