Guest guest
There has been mention of the Yoga Kurunta text in some recent messages. One message stated that Krisnamacharia and Jois studied the text together. This is not true. Jois told me (quote) that "I have never seen the Yoga Kurunta". Krisnamacharia studied it in a University library in Bombay but that was decades ago and the manuscript was seriously deteriorated even then. Who knows - it may still be there. Anyone in Bombay?

Sharath told me that Krisnamacharia's original notes taken from the Yoga Kurunta DID exist and that photocopies existed. Does anyone know where they are now? Can anyone check this with Sharath and Jois? This would be an important historic document.

BBBirch repeats the false story of Jois studying directly from the Yoga Kurunta in her book, somewhere after the passage where she narrowly escapes being kidnapped and sold into "white slavery". (I'm not making that up! She actually writes that!) One of many of her inaccuracies.

Yours,

Daniel McGuire
