Guest guest
I'm horrified by the more extreme reactions to the diet question. For some of us, too much purity is a toxin in itself.

Personally, I try to practise at least four /five times a week - it may not be enough for the purists but its as much as I can fit into my very enjoyable, very sociable life. I just don't see the point in stopping pleasureable things for the sake of yoga. If you enjoy a smoke, a drink or a bit of chicken have it for goodness sake. God forbid you deny yourself... Life is way too short not to have as much fun as you can manage in any given moment.

Anyway, you only really ever regret the things you don't do... not the things you do. So I'm off to have a fag and a nice chilled chablis.
Guest guest
Blondeismorefun,

Thank you SO much--you phrased it the best way--I have similar sentiments along the "too much purity is toxic" train of thought. Sounds like I know you already, and I can see you probably smile a lot. That's a good thing. Let's go out for a pint after practice ;-)

Enjoy,
Blondeisnotalwaysmorefun
Guest guest
Cheers luvvies! And there's me thinking I was gonna be burned at the stake for heretic principles.

I DO smile a lot, and I truly beleive that fun is a major factor in truly enjoying life. Eating is a PLEASURE, socialising and drinking is a PLEASURE... yoga is also a PLEASURE to me, in addition to all the physical, emotional and spiritual benefits it gives. And it's important not to lose sight of the pleasure...

BlondeiscertainlymorefunformebutthenI'mbaisedaren'tI.
