I totally disagree with you - from my experience,

cycling develops (tightens) the quads on the outer side

of the leg - thus making lotus position extremely

difficult for many people.<br><br>Also running puts alot of

impact on knees ankles and hips, which when starting to

open from beginning practice are particularly

vulnerable.<br><br>I feel the best complimentary exercise is walking

which allows one to consciously realign and strengthen

the legs.
