Guest guest
The New Yorker article was great. Thanks for posting it. Truly inpiring. Well, its obvious that SPW was right all along and that there is no love lost between Guruji and those "arch yoga villians" the Birchs". He, it seems, also thinks they're prospering too much from his system. I fully appreciate Guruji being protective of his system, and the people who teach it ideally should have his blessing and certainly be proficient enough to teach the system accurately. But, I can't help wondering if the Birchs through the publication of their book have brought even more students and thus more prosperity to Guruji. Please do not mistake this for a defense of the Birchs or a questioning of Guruji's motives. I truly respect him and hope to get to Mysore soon and study with him. And from reports I've heard outside this club the Birchs do seem a bit greedy and definately hold themselves in high regard. My point is that I think everyone is benefiting from everyone elses involvement in the system and that it truly is one big circle. My regards to the the people who were studying ashtanga long before the band wagon came along and made it trendy and popular.

Namaste,

ishogun
