Guest guest
If nothing else, SPW's vitriol does stimulate thought and correspondence.
Anyway, reading about the newbies (and after a year and a half of practicing, I do consider myself to be one) and Nada's response made me think about the phrase "beginner's mind." Isn't that supposed to be a good thing?
B
Guest guest
Oh Nada, I am abig fan of sarcasm and you really did a great job with this. I know this reply is a bit late, but I'm one of the people who have been avoiding the forum, too. It's like I'm a kid listening to my parents argue--it feels icky and uncomforatble. So I left the room.

But I crave the forum because I don't live in an area with a lot of ashtangis and need the advice and the comraderie. I also feel there is a powerful lesson for us here: to open our hearts to that which we view as a threat--Dalai Lama style. He's my "hero," and represents something that for me goes beyond even ashtanga: infinate compassion.
