I think that Dirk's last posting should certainly

be noted, not just by the few but by us all, I have

tried to avoid getting entangled in the vitriol that is

posted here every now and again, but it has always

struck me that there seems to be a hidden agenda to

which I wasn't party. Controlled by the few and

tolerated by the many, that seems to be the way the threads

in this forum are grown.
Where do you stop with

this, everyone who is not an ashtangi (although if

ashtangi is what some people here are I do not want to be

that) round them up, put them in a field and kill them

all..... not for me thanks!
I have not really

contributed to the forum a great deal, and like Dirk I doubt

if I will again, and I also wonder whether it is

worth even logging into read some of the drivel that

comes onto the message list. Which I think is a shame

because I certainly have a lot to learn from a lot of the

people who post here.
I think I'll just get on with

it, help those that I can help and try to bring to

others what many great (yeah, yeah, subjective) people

have given to me, and I'm not talking about trying to

teach yoga here folks, I'm talking about living a

'good' life.

There's a lot more I want to say

here but given the way things are going here I can't

be bothered (I thik I'll just talk to a brick wall,

it should have about the same effect)

Take

care

jon

Unfortunately I have to share your feelings. Very

few people writing, and very negative and cheap

vibes.

Luckily, these kind of forums can not disparage astanga,

which is above xxxrxxan pettiness.

I would not

even be reading this forum, only that it is so

bloody/blessed quiet at work these days.

DD and Jon,
It seems that we have the same way looking at things,
but then

we are on the same side of the Atlantic, too.
(Probably something I should

not have written.)

Don't go Dirk!! We need a good mix of people to

keep this forum interesting. I practice on my own as

there aren't any teachers here who have practiced any

longer than me. Except for the occasional workshop this

is the only interaction I get when it comes to

ashtanga. Sometimes I'm kind of horrified because some of

the people actually make ashtanga yoga sound like a

cult and I'm sure that scares off a certain amount of

people!
But at the same time I've learned a lot from many

of the level headed people who have shared so

generously (many thanks).
