you don't mind I also saved them for later perusal

and study. I have studied yoga for a couple of years

now..when I say study I mean I read everyhting I can get my

hands on..ponder..query..and try to see how I can

relate it to my practice and my life..I thoroughly

enjoyed reading your views..again,thank you.

Thanks Godfrey, I was hoping to hear your comments. Could you or anyone else

recommend further reading on yama and niyama? I would like to learn more about

them. Thanks again!

A couple of hours ago I happened to read

godfreydev's post on the yamas and niyamas in asana and

prnayama. I then did my practice the post in mind and found

it much enhanced. It's nice to be reminded that

there is much more to work on than bending way over

(especially when one has recently tweaked a hamstring, maybe

from not enough svadhyaya in asana?). Anyway, thanks,

Mr. D.

This brings up a question. Has anyone

out there thought of writing a commentary on the

Yogasutras with an Ashtanga audience in mind? Or is the bulk

of a such a work present in a text already

published? Something perhaps that includes the author's

personal commentary, along with some explanation of the

views/practices of major teachers (Jois, BNS Iyengar, Miller,

Freeman, etc.), and maybe even a bit of recent Ashtanga

history? Surely such a work would be greatly appreciated,

even if it were publicly lambasted by some

purists.

Peace and Good,
Homer
