Guest guest
javra, i've enjoyed some of your posts or at least your use of language (cannot exactly recall which and am too lazy to go back) but ..... sivinanda certification is no claim to fame in asana (maybe a fair intro to philosophy and bagavatgita if you have no background in that). It is in my opinion embarassing to mention that one has been exposed to such a bunch of selfrighteous wannabe's (and this reference EXcludes the swamis out of respect). For anyone else reading this suffice it to say that their yoga asana classes at some of their camps (advertised fraudulently as teacher trainings - it requires no prior experience)includes a class of 150 people led by a person with such a heavy french accent that no-one around the back could tell what it is she said while talking on a failing microphone-, all this done outside on a cement tennis court through rain wind and shine. And i kid you not.The asana teacher did not do one single demonstration throughout the entire month of training. All this after people paid between $1500 - $2000 for the "training". (and the very firstposein each clas was the headstand). One of the assistants and acting like a big shot was a shmuck called Sarasiva, a loser who couldn't couldn't make it in the real world in new york and uses this venue to gain authority (by working for free)and hitting on the girls at the retreat.

Please don't mention sivinanda certification on this venue again. Some people KNOW what you are talking about. Compared to their experience in yoga asana BBB is a god and david swenson has ascended. Anyone having studied the primary series for a year can teach them - and this is unfortunately not meant sarcastically. Amen
