I wouldn't bother trying to explain this one to

the Americans ;-)<br><br>.. after all, if the only

option I had available was what they call "beer" I would

gladly give it up. On reflection, it's also pretty easy

not to drink the Indian stuff. This one is purely a

discussion for the Europeans and Canadians among us, I

think.

Oh Alan, and I respected you so much!!! I can let

SPW's rantings go by, but this subject is near and dear

to my heart: are you suggesting that Canadian beer

is better than some of the great brews being made in

the Pacific Northwest? I agree with you that most of

the American-made beers are horrible. Next time

you're in the area, however, you'll have to swing by and

sample some of the local brews -- I think you'll be

pleasantly surprised! I haven't had such luck on my trips to

Canada (sorry fellow North Americans).<br><br>M

seen on this site. I hope that someday you will have

the exquisite pleasure of drinking a Black Butte

Porter, brewed right here in America and loved by many a

yogi.
