Guest guest
Although I used to live in San Francisco, I don't any longer. In going back for a visit, I had asked for teacher recommendations. SPW had said that John Robb is "decent," but that if I could get to Mill Valley, John Berlinsky is excellent. He, of course, also warned me to stay away from Larry Schultz.

While in SF, I went to several of John's Mysore classes and have found his assistance invaluable. Also, in contravention of the instructions of SPW, I went to a couple of Larry Schultz's classes and I found that SPW is correct -- the classes were terrible, bouncing around through a series of dijointed poses and there is no respect for the sanctity of the practice room -- people come in late, stop early, talk to each other while the preceding class is in savasana.

As I had failed to do it before, I want to thank SPW for his excellent advice. I only wish I had had the opportunity to get to Mill Valley.

Shambhala_US
