Guest guest
I've been thinking that I would really like to know about other people's experiences with ashtanga--how you came across it, how long you've been doing it, what other types of yoga you've practiced, what teachers you've had, mistakes you learned from, miraculous healing experiences, funny tidbits, and so on. Also I'd like to know the stretch in both geography and age of the people who practice ashtanga.

I know the forum isn't a great place for everyone to post a bio--but we all love talking about ourselves, so I thought we could start a free website where we all write a brief blurb and share our stories. I am willing to set it up if enough people send the text and photos to me via e-mail. I think lots of people--especially newcomers and those who don't live in an ashtanga oasis--would appreciate such insite into others' experiences.

Is this a corny idea, unreasonable in scope?

To Pinchy and others who hated the new Yorker article: this could be a chance to tell your side of the Mysore story--anything well written and large in scope could be sort of like a "feature" story on the site.
