Okay, so i've given up animal, now i'm trying to

limit my wheat (it's a toughie -love my pasta, love my

bagels, love my foccacias, pizza rocks and love my big

hunkin sandwiches), dairy (like yogurt, a little cheese

now and then but can live w/out these) and sugar

(moderate with this) but now I feel like im treading in the

dangerous and BORING area of being obnoxious with food.

Example today we went to a bbq breakfast and even though

i woulda loved to have bacon and eggs on the

barbie, i brought my own muesli just in case, but they

also had a beautiful healthy spread of fruit and

pancakes- which i guess i shouldnt be eating if i give up

wheat.......

If I give up this stuff, and I dont mind

expermenting for a while to see what it does for practice and

to see if I "feel much better", but what are the

long term affects - i want to be a foxy old grandma

running around with grandpa (when im not sitting in a

perfect lotus, of course) and chasing after my grandkids-

will i be a brittle bag of bones without any hair and

too tired to clap on/clap off the lights because my

system is depleted from these things that we thought

were bad now?

I'm also a little concerned that

i will lose weight eating like this and i

definitely dont want to go there. So some questions - Have

any of you overhauled your diet for the sake of yoga

and is healthily living to tell the tale for more

than 10 years? Women, especially...Anyone take

supplements- iron, calcium...Can anyone recommend any

vegetarian sites or bibles which will help a person who

really doesn't want to devote too much time to this in

the kitchen or in the mind, get all the essentials

they need? Would anyone like to share their menu of a

typical day of eating on the ultimate Ashtangi diet? And

most importantly, anyone have any alt ideas for my

lovely. lovely avocado, tomato, hummos, sprout sandwich

on big hunkin pieces of multigrain bread.Sorry,

baking. milking or sprouting my own anything is not an

option right now

thanks

s
