Guest guest
I feel dreadfully stiff starting practice in the morning too. I find it eases after the first few sun salutations. Some might consider this suggestion heretical, but a few minutes in a gentle standing forward bend before you start the series can also stop that first suryanamaskar from hurting so much.

I normally practice in the evening most of the time. Whenever I do have a spell of regular morning practice, I find that after a while either the initial stiffness isn't so bad or I just get used to the discomfort, not sure which.

But if your pracice is consistently making you feel tired and stiff, maybe you're doing more than you're ready for and should back off a bit. Don't go so far through the series, or don't do vinyasas between sides, or just don't strain to get deep into asanas.
