Guest guest
once again, the first group in encinitas (supposedly the Primary Series group)stopped at navasana and the second group (supposedly the Second series group) did the full primary series. for the folks in France, NY and Boulder: did Guruji follow this pattern there? did the first group ever do the full series? did the second group ever do the Second Series? i got the sense from talking with some of the participants that people who flew or drove down and are staying in hotels were a little frustrated at not doing the series they had been told they would be doing. i personally don't have a problem with being stopped at navasana as i am not very good at some of the following postures. there are a lot of folks in that group who are quite capable though. Guest guest
This is the same format we used in Boulder... by the last two days we were doing the full primary, the second group did the intermediate series all but on the first day... Guruji sent some second series people into a separate group... they went to a certain point and then waited to do finishing postures when the rest of the class finished up the more difficult poses. We asked how long one should do the primary before beginning the second series postures and Guruji said 5 years. Then take on the intermediate series. He says if you can not complete the primary series, you should not do second series at all. Guess I'll be in primary for a while... :-) Hope this helps.

Nada
Guest guest
yes, he did the same in boulder.
some people who did the 'second
series' class (the whole primary series) were
asked to go back to the first series because they
were not ready (in his and sharath's opinion). his stopping at navasana the
first day was ok....he moves at a very fast
pace, and does the vinyasa on both sides.
my quess is, he did not want to over-do it for those people
who may not have been ready for so much so soon.
everything he did was so awesome, anyway!
120 (approx.) people practicing at such a level
of depth and focus!!! Guest guest
leslie

You are saying people were asked to move from the full primary series class (2nd class) to the class up to navasana (1st class) ?

Because that is really enlightening to be signed up to do second series and then not be up to finishing full first!! ( what a ReaLITY check)

Thanx for sharing.
Guest guest
In Boulder, the first group did through Navasana and the 2nd group did the full 1st series. During the second week, the 2nd group did through dwi pada in 2nd series the first day, gradually added on poses in 2nd series each day until the next to the last day completed the entire 2nd series. The last day was 1st series.
