Tragedy

I am sure each of us knows some one from our past

who tragically took their own life. Can we ever know

or understand why? Certainly pop psychology is not

useful in explaining why, nor gossip, nor conjecture.

Wondering why a loved one did this is a question and

concern that haunts and tears at family and friends

hearts for their whole lives. <br><br>I can say that in

India it is a daily ocurrence to read in the newspapers

of young men (and to a lesser degree women)who take

their own life after failing an exam, not getting a

certain hoped for job or being denied the parental

permission to wed the partner of their choice. Of course

throughout the world individuals take their own lives for a

myriad of personal sufferings.<br><br>It is always a

tragedy for everyone near and dear, and for the

individual whose pain saw only one possibility.<br><br>lokah
