yes, from where i was sitting (the back

bleachers) dom corigliano and swenson both held it. the guy

who was selling the guruji t-shirts, who has a great

practice, and dennis dean looked like they did not (Though

i was across the room from them and they may have

held it close). i couldn't see the folks on the front

row like noah and kimberly from ahimsa yoga so i

don't know. they all did good. that's a long time to

hold it. even swenson had a look of relief when KBJ

let them down. he kind of flexed his wrists for a

while before his vinyasa out of the posture. i was

impressed with dom because guruji either moved him a bit or

said something to him but he didn't lose his focus.

you can tell when people will go down. they start to

look around a bit, lose their drishti and focus and

it's all over. i tried to just focus past my nose

today but it's still hard to eliminate the monkeymind

telling yourself "i've still got just as long to go, i

don't know if i can make it." it's good practice,

though currently beyond my mental and physical skill.

<br>with regards to the surya A & B, the first day he did

4 A's and 3 B's, the other two days he did 4 of

each, at least as best i remember. the gym is cooler

than the typical hot shala--it's a gym. also the

weather has been rainy and about 15 degrees cooler than

normal.<br>i don't think most people are going to advance

their practices very much by what they are doing in the

workshop. i think the gain is being able to have seen and

worked with the person who developed the system that so

many of us have devoted our time and energy to. most

of us will never get to india, at age 80+ he may not

get back here, so it's truely the only chance we have

to pay homage or thanks by practicing with him. if

anyone attending has the ability to set up a video of

the entire class, let me know. i'd love to have it.
