Guest guest
Badhakonasana (sp?) - 50 breaths or so every morning after nauli (normal practice in the evening) for about the last 3 weeks. Effects to report so far - inner right thigh is sore all the time so SOMETHING must be happening.

(TL, I find your website useful and I'm relieved that I'm not the only person who still can't do padmanasana after 4 years)

Yoga & booze. I used to do a class after work on Friday, after taking my team to the pub lunchtime. Which was an important ritual, at the time - we were working 10,11 hour days plus Saturday mornings, and had to unwind at some point. I found if I drank more than half a pint I felt crap at class. If I have more than one beer in the evening, I can feel it if I practice the next morning. (Perhaps this is one reason why I prefer early evening practice). But I very rarely want to drink more than two these days anyway. Godfrey Devereux in one of his books says asana practice is good for clearing hangovers. I bet he wasn't writing from recent personal experience. Not sure if I will go to Oktoberfest this year or not - can drink equally good or better Bavarian beer, in nicer surroundings, any time I want anyway.

I haven't read Lance Armstrong's book, but I saw extracts from it in a magazine where he was saying things like "if they think racing up Alpine passes hurts, they should try chemotherapy!". Clearly a man with intense strength of focus. Unlike the talented Herr Ulrich?
