Guest guest Posted September 6, 2000 Report Share Posted September 6, 2000 Why do we accept the asana posture series as is? Are there other asanas that are important? At times I feel like it is a good idea for all practioners to master a certain form. Other times I think to myself, maybe Jois was too arbitrary, adding in certain forms, or leaving out some that may be important for beginners. I also tend to hold the postures for about 8-10 breaths.
