Guest guest
I've watched an itchy patch of eczema come and go on my shin for about six months now. An Indian Ayurvedic physician told me that skin inflammations and redness are a sign of too much/unbalanced pitta (fire) dosha, and one needs to rebalance with cooling foods, activities, etc. Ashtanga is definitely a heating activity (with cooling time at the end, of course). Not really an answer to your question, but maybe that information sheds a little light . . .
