Guest guest
Question. Does attending a class led by a yoga criminal make one a criminal by association?
Guest guest
Watch out. Ole Pinchy B*tt is going to jump down your throat for that one. He will assume that you did attend and give you grief over it.

I, on the other hand, will assume that if you did attend, you are checking things out so you can form your own opinion. Go for it.

Guest guest
<<David Life>>

yes, guruji really must stop certifying criminals like david life. senor, as the valiant soul who repeatedly exposes guruji's poor judgment, from now on please have him check with you before certifying anyone. if this behavior continues we pure yogis will be forced to rise up against him, perhaps even crowning el senor as the new lord of the eight limbs.

yours in purity,
yomama

But choosing just ONE yoga style - e.g. Astanga Yoga - and then sticking with it and pursueing it with determination, is actually the better way if you want to achieve real and lasting progress in Yoga. Just a suggestion.
Guest guest
You are right, Alan - that's the question, of course: do those lists have any value at all? There was a time when I thought these lists to be useless. However, I now believe that they can actually be quite helpful; since clearly there are cases of abuse ("yoga criminality") within the astanga-yoga system. Also, such "lists" are not unique to Astanga. You can find them in other yoga systems too, like Iyengar Yoga for example.
Guest guest
Yes. Don't get me wrong - I think there are standards of honesty about teachers' qualifications that should be maintained. I think discussions about things like Jess's recent experience are valuable. But I don't think a self-appointed online lynch mob is necesssarily the best way to police anything. Guest guest
The lists put out here by the "self-appointed online mob lynch" can hopefully be openly discussed - that's what a public message board is supposed to be for after all, isn't it? - as well as changed, if need be. I think that all in all Senor Pinche Wey is doing quite a good job. However, I myself would put at least two names OUT of his list of "yoga criminals": those of David Life and Sharon Gannon.
