Guest guest
I was just starting, doing trikonasan and began to feel pain along the medial side of the back of my right thigh. My range of motion is significantly limited now without getting more sever pain. Seems like a "pulled muscle". Taking some Alleve. Any other suggestions? Do I keep practicing? Just do the postures that don't hurt? Any other suggestions? How long should I wait before trying more strenuous asanas?
Guest guest
Sorry to hear that you are having pain. Om Mani Padma Hung. Keep practicing but bend the knee when in the poses that overstretch that area. If the bent knee doesn't help, eliminate that posture completely and go to the next one. When doing sitting forward folding positions, place a rolled towel or something similar under the knee of that leg. Learning to modify the series to assist us through physical limitations is a must. Don't push. Give the muscle time to relax and heal but continue to practice.
