Guest guest
i too have experienced some concerning side effects of ashtanga practice, perhaps eben more concerning than loss of libido. i find that in the drive home i am unable to tolerate my usual radio stations. the music is too jarrin. i have devolved to only listening to the smooth jazz station, not just after practice, but whenever i have music on. am i doing something wrong? am i aberrant or is this a common disorder? Guest guest
This is not "disorder" but probably a shift or beginning transformation IMHO. Ashtanga yoga changes affect/emotion/feeling states that emanate from the body, the face, the organs, and the various systems of the body. (Actually there is an affect system! Not well known, but there you are!!)

When affects change, especially ones that are "familiar", the personality changes, and, above all, since it is feeling which motivates, our motivations change as well. I think this is inevitable with intense practice. Not to worry.

jesus_of_montreal
