Guest guest
You're welcome (for Thievery Corporation). Make sure you get their take on Innocence Mission and Hooverphonic.

And thank you for the vaca recommendation. The website makes the place look lovely, but it sure is pricey! Thanks to the rest of you too! Some great ideas.

Ah, the travails of having a non-practicing spouse continue. I'd be happy in a palapu on a beach somewhere as long as he had something to do. Maybe I should refine the search: How's this?

Warm weather in November retreat/resort/spa that offers Astanga AND kung fu? Same parameters, not too far from east coast USA, like CA, Carribbean, Central America, etc.

That could be an even more difficult quest. Any ideas out there? The yoga tourism challenge continues!
Guest guest
Astanga AND Kung Fu. That is a challange. Does it have to be Kung Fu? If you were to go to So Cal, you could check out the numerous yoga studios there and for the martial arts afficionado in the group there is Richard Bastillo's IMB Academy in L.A. which teaches Jeet Kune Do and all the arts that comprise that such as Kali, western boxing, muay thai, kickboxing, grappling etc. Also, the Inosanto academy in L.A. teaches the same stuff. Both were students of the late Bruce Lee. Both are extremely qualified. Probably two of the best living authorities on that particular style.

ishogun
Guest guest
Just a suggestion for yoga and martial arts tourists - Encinitas (just north of sunny San Diego) might be just the place. Check out:

http://www.gojukaratecenter.com

Senseis Paul and Lezlie Enfield also practice Ashtanga...
