Guest guest
Duddelde... I appreciated your detail descriptions. Got a question for you. I am one of those sensitive people who eats organic everything and have to stay in really nice places because I react to mainstream detergents like Tide, Bounce and the better hotels use hypoallergenic stuff. Due to my health, I have always had to watch where I go. Is there a way to go to Mysore - the 5 Star Hotel way. I don't mean to sound arrogant or high class... it's more that my body is not tolerant of anything --- especially chemically and environmentally reactive (if the air is not good etc.) and chemically sensitive etc. So... I have always been fearful to go to Mysore due to my health. I react pretty often even in the states so I am always taking precautions. My whole house is eco-friendly and have hepa air filters running etc., - it's so anal but over the years I had to do what I had to do to take better care of myself and be functional. After doing Ashtanga - I am getting healthy and less allergic to stuff but I thought I ask if anyone knew if there's ways to do this first class.

Any hope for someone like me to go to Mysore?

Thanks everyone.

Faitfully,
Soulcube
Guest guest
The air polution in Mysore compared to USA is pretty bad. Everytime I am there, I continually hack up gunk for my entire stay and for at least a month after I have come home. And I don't consider myself sensitive to this kind of stuff. Good luck. Guest guest
....and then I remember this woman from San Diego walking around in Mysore and not missing any shitpiles because she was so paranoid and sensory overloaded...
She got very violently sick on her third day and ended up going to the Southern Star because she thought it would be cleaner. She made it only 5 or 6 times to class. Poor thing.

Most american cities are superclean. I enjoyed living in the city in the U.S. The air is polluted in Mysore. It´s no fun to ride you bike downtown at all. In Laxmipuram where Pattabhi teaches it´s allright but still you have to get there....Maybe it is better right after the Monsoon... You shouldn´t be picky in India.
If you expect to get sick you probably will.
