Guest guest
Can anyone recommend one of Eliade's books- there seems to be a million and one to choose from at Amazon.
Guest guest
A good 'initiatory' book is Eliade's "Rites and Symbols of Initiation: The Mysteries of Birth and Rebirth." This will give you an idea of how he classifies phenomena. If you get more interested, his 3 volume set on "A History of Religious Ideas" is a wonderful resource. Guest guest
The book I was initially referring to was Eliade's book on yoga called Yoga. But I think that his journals and autobiography are great. He only slept a few hours a night and learned Sanskrit and then Pali in no time flat. He had an amazing mind.
