I smiled when I read that I may be a yoga criminal by posing these questions -- original thinking should be encouraged, yes? It seems that there are so many wonderful teachers such as Iyengar and Desikachar, and even Donna Farhi....I no longer believe there is only one way to do a practice...(yikes, that doesn't sound very Ashtanga, does it?) I think Yoga is an inner path....and no one path is superior to another, just different. Thanks again for your advice. You all are so intelligent and supportive! I will continue practicing the correct sequence, but maybe take a few days a week to be a rebel and do some new sequencing and new asanas...
