Guest guest
they are toughies, especially if the prior night's dis-equilibrium regimen is still in full effect.

for revolved triangle, get your hips fully facing toward your forward foot. extend way forward, then move towards the floor with your hand while you twist. the key for me has been to twist to the max, the balance is easier the further i pull my shoulder around. when i am partially leaning out over the side of the extended leg, the incomplete twist puts my center of gravity off to the side and i'm constantly wavering, much to the chagrin of my forward quad and hamstring. extend as far as you can into both legs. the back leg's action is just as important for a stable base. the biggest "burn" for quite a while for me was in my back leg buttock. you've got to push that back as far as you can to square the hips. extend in all directions, to the floor, to the ceiling, along the back leg..stability will come

for the revolved parsvakonasana, hard to do this one unless you can really twist. one of our local teachers has th e students just twist with the elbow of the lower arm on the knee and the hands in prayer. he doesn't want them to try for the full posture until they can twist to the point that their tricep is outside of the forward leg. then, it's just a matter of extending the arm, finding the balance and then extending along the back leg and upper arm. usually, by the time i've got a semblence of balance, have twisted and torqued myself around to where my hand gets to the ground, the teacher has usually already gotten to the four count. the worst part of my technique for this one is getting my back leg back to a straight position with foot flat. i tend to roll that foot onto the inner edge and my knee caves. i watched david swenson on this one at the workshop. he dropped the knee of the back leg down to the ground, twisted and got his arm and hand in position, then raised the back knee up, straightening the leg while he extended his forward arm.

so, i'm curious. is meeja hore anything like yora beach or ima tart?
