Guest guest
I've just started doing ashtanga fairly recently, but I did Iyengar-style yoga for a very long time. I appreciated your comments on changing the sequence of the asanas. My thought is that if you decide to practice a particular style of yoga (and I don't think that Ashtanga is the only one - quelle sacrilige!!!) you should stick to that lineage and tradition. I still have a daily Iyengar practice and I think that it helps me with the Ashtanga. I also pull asanas that are more difficult for me out of the Primary series and work on them individually. But when I do the Primary series I try to do only the Primary series and adhere to it as strictly as I can.
