Guest guest
soulcube, some time back you talked about your allergy woes. I can relate, especially the ‘fear of travel” aspect. The good news is... do your practice and all is coming... after 3 years of yoga I was pretty much cured.
I was allergic to all manner of things, pollen, mold, ect. No food allergies, but the big one was dust mites-- the little buggers that live and breed in fabric and bedding. Trips to the grandparent’s house, sleeping on old bedding would guarantee illness... visiting friends in S.F., sleeping on an old couch ruined that trip.
Somehow yoga got me over all that in a very magical way that I really can’t explain. Every once in a while I can feel an allergy attack coming on and then it dissipates after practice.
I meet so many people who are sick with allergies (this part of the country is terrible for pollen) and they all seem to be looking for quick cures, Clariton, cough syrup, antihistamenes... it’s hard to make them understand that they need to take measures to get strong and halt the allergies before they start rather than to ingest things to temporarily ease their suffering. But we live in a consumer society and that is where people’s heads are at.
So good luck, soulcube, and just because you get yourself healthy don't let that stop you from staying in 5-star hotels.
