Guest guest
it is one of the intricacies of modern international economics, NAFTA, etc, that much of our "year-round local produce" come from mexico and other parts of the country. it's getting too expensive for farming in CA with land, water and labor costs increasing and cheaper imports readily available. even CA can't grow strawberries year round. it's kind of like the oil producing areas of the country having some of the highest gas prices--doesn't always make sense
