Guest guest
the conflicts it caused in some members of this club, I say go read some Tom Robbins (author of Skinny Legs and All, Jitterbug Perfume, and several other brilliant, magical, uplifting novels).

We have teachers and books and websites and all sorts of sources for strictly yoga-based info. And we can read the messages on this board and ask questions and answer questions. In between the silly and immature postings are many legitimate questions about asana, prana, bandha, philosophy, et. al. But we are not ONLY ashtanga practitioners. We have families, jobs, interests, lives, beyond the several hours a day we devote to ashtanga. The communications we can develop here beyond the rubric of ashtanga are the authentic foundations of human interaction. Regardless of how far we may digress, the topic never strays too far from yoga. The recent funny sex talk was more understandable to the ashtanga practitioner than to the members of mainstream sex clubs.

Plus, the "lower chakras" have more correspondences than sex. Next discussion: farts and BMs. Now please don't be channeling those things up the nadis to the upper chakras (at least without proper supervision)--that wouldn't be a pretty site.
