Guest guest
STOOOOPPP!! you're all turning into my mother. a life time of pithy sayings like: "dogs get mad, people get angry". despite my adolescent attempts at resisting her influence, some of it has even worn off on me. i hate it when people insure instead of ensuring. or use regime instead of regimen. but, life would be drab if we all did things the same way. there'd be nothing to bitch about. much like this board. <br>okay i'll take advantage of all you editors and professors--when quatation marks are used, e.g. my third sentence above, does the ending punctuation go inside the quotes or out? my recollection was in but it never looks right
Guest guest
in the US it's in. In the UK and Canada it's outside. There are other things that vary from place to place besides just spellings.
