Guest guest
Claudia, I really really appreciate your mentioning the smile. So far no one has brought this up. I smile frequently and spontaneously during practice. I can't tell you why--is it because I feel good, or because my body is in a strange, contorted position, or because mula bandha energy rushes up to my brain and tickles me? Sure there are times I am not happy--for instance, when my shoulders are tight and reps of urdhva dhanurasana make me feel like I've run a marathon. But oh boy I used to giggle when I first learned garbha pindasana (rolly-polly padmasana)--I still do, on occasion, esp. if i'm having a tight day and I get "stuck." Anyway, yes, when I see people struggling and wincing and grunting I feel bad too. What you write is inspiring.
Guest guest
Thanks sunshine. Yeah, Garbha pindasana is good one to make me laugh too, especially when Pattabhi discovers your stranding in class and is rushing towards you in a great hurry but too late it´s time to uncurl anyway. Feelin´like a bug on his back.<br>I never felt strange to burst out into laughing in Pattabhi´s shala. Well, if that makes me a yoga tourist then be it. Yes, I am one.
