Guest guest
Hey Soulcube! If you can get up early and practice before your day starts, you won't regret it. Just try to get to sleep earlier. The mind is very clear early in the day, the tummy is empty and the world is at rest and there are no messages blinking in your machine, no traffic outside the window, no calls to return, no kitchen smells wafting in under your door.
Practice later and your mind is reeling with the day's hustle bustle. Also you must time your meals so they don't interfere with your afternoon or evening practice session. If you surmise that you can be a really good pumpkin and turn off the ringer on the phone and empty the mental vessel - then by all means - choose the afternoon.
Pinky thinks early mornings are always ripe and sweet for practice. No hour too early, no wake up call too shocking. Pinky probably wakes up earlier than the hour that Blondeismore sashays home.
A standard practice for limited time sessions is to begin with 5 suryanamaskara A and 3 B, standing poses through pasichamottanasana and then skip ahead to sarvangasana (shoulder stand) through to the finishing poses. This is not daunting regardless of the hour.
All the best with it
m.p.
