Guest guest
Good point. Drugs don't require any effort. My experience has been that the mind-expanding exertions are much more rewarding than the drugs. But compared to the rest of my friends I'm an exception to your rule.<br>I think yoga is over-marketed enough as it is, but there should be more of an effort to attract younger people - as well as the middle aged baby boomers with back pain. It could help a lot of kids that are ruining themselves with chemicals, who are just trying to find happiness.
Guest guest
hey this is a valid point. i believe that psychedelics can "open the door" for some people. That door might have remained closed otherwise. After that, people do need to eventually learn to do it without chemical aids. What's significant in youth is the planting of seeds. If a young person is exposed--via books or people or media--to yoga or other paths, then that's often all that can be done. It's probably only a matter of time before the seed sprouts in some form--or dies. This brings up the question: if a mental/spiritual "seed" like this is planted, does it inevitably sprout? Or are some people infertile territory? Is it usually some kind of personal crisis that prompts spiritual growth or are exposure, affiliation, interest, and curiosity enough?
